Brigette Tessier Labby submitted this postcard to the A Bit of the Bay Facebook Group Aug. 1.

A postcard of the St. Joseph's Girls College in North Bay from 1958 stirred memories of former students when it was shared on the A Bit of the Bay Facebook Group by member Brigette Tessier Labby Aug. 1.

Patty Frawley said she loved her high school years there with Paula Wallin saying the same and the two former school-mates taking the opportunity to wave hello to each other. And then Cathy Brideau, formerly Cathy McDonald, telling Paula that she's often thought of her over the years.

"Wonderful time at a great school," wrote Maria Ammerata. Jane Todd-Vandale said she spent "four wonderful years there."

Cecelia Mckenzie wrote she made "wonderful friends and wonderful memories ... would ot trade those years for anything. So lucky to attend a school that was sitting on one of the most beautiful pieces of property on Lake Nipissing. The place is still lovely as it always was."

Mary Kolz posted: "Shoes were originally brown oxfords, worn with brown jumper, later brown jumper became drop-waisted, circa 1965-66. Circa 1968-69 uniform was changed to white blouse, green with brown/white plaid kilt (with red pinstripes), green sweater and brown knee socks and loafers with tassels. Around 1990 uniform was changed to a brown and cream/beige plaid kilt (with small orange pinstripes) cream blouses and loafers of choice."
